Åsa Stjerna (*1970), sound artist. The Swedish sound artist uses sound and listening as artistic media in the exploration of public space. Through her site-specific sound installations, she explores the often hidden underlying historic, social and poetic phenomena connected to a place, making these perceivable. She has participated in a number of exhibitions internationally. Her works include permanent sound installations in Sweden and Paris and exhibitions at the KUMU art museum Estonia, the Transmediale Media Festival, Berlin, the Ultima Contemporary Music festival, Oslo, and the Akademie der Künste Berlin.
